Policies

We will do everything possible to make your stay most enjoyable. Please take a few minutes to review these policies, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions about accommodations at the Barren Breeze Bed and Breakfast.

Room Rate Information

Room rates include double occupancy and a full breakfast. A $30 fee is charged for each extra person in any room. Rates are quoted per night excluding tax (10%).  

A 50% deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of making your reservation. The balance will be charged to your card the day of your arrival. 

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card regardless of how the final payment will be made. We accept MC, Visa, and AmEx credit cards and Gift Certificates. 

Check In/Check Out

Check-In is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Arrangements for late arrivals should be made in advance with the Innkeeper. Late check-in (after 9 pm) requires special arrangements.  Early arrivals are discouraged since our small staff is busy turning the rooms over from the previous night to insure everything is ready for your check-in at 3:00.

Checkout time is at 10:00 a.m. and guests are asked not to linger on the property so our staff can prepare our facilities for incoming guests.

Cancellations

Making a reservation at a bed and breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we do adhere to a strict cancellation policy.

We hold a 3 month cancellation policy. If notification of a cancellation is received at least 3 months prior to an arrival date (excluding group or special event reservations), the deposit is refundable less a $30 cancellation fee per room.  If notification of a cancellation or changes to a reservation is received 3 months or less prior to the arrival date, the full amount of the original reservation will be charged and is non-refundable. Early departure falls within our cancellation policy, therefore, there are no refunds for early departure. There is a $30 fee for changing a reservation.  

General Policies

  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the inn. If evidence of smoking in the inn is found, a $300 charge will be incurred for cleaning and fumigating.

  • Although pets are not allowed at the inn, we can suggest boarding nearby.

  • Candles are not to be used in the inn, except for those provided near the spa tubs.

  • Guests staying in our B&B expect a quiet, adult environment, therefore we welcome children over the age of fourteen (14) in our Fishermen’s Quarters only.

  • Breakfast is served at 8:30 am on weekends and weekdays. Early breakfast is available with advanced notice.

Property Issues

Any damages, stolen items, or broken items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest. Any special clean-up resulting in damages caused by the guests will be charged to the credit card. Charges may need to be applied after guest departure as deemed necessary by the Owner/Innkeeper. 

Please report all spills and/or damages to the Innkeeper promptly.

Alcoholic Beverages

Barren Breeze Bed and Breakfast does not hold a license to resell alcoholic beverages. Guests may bring their own, but for the safety and comfort of all our guests, please drink responsibly. Barren Breeze Bed and Breakfast and/or employees will not be held responsible for any incidents.
